New photo gallery series: EAST AFRICA

I’m back from an insect-collecting expedition to Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Kenya.  And Amanda was able to join me for the first two countries.  Check out the galleries and get a sense of each country’s unique flavor.

    Not being a seasoned traveler I kept asking questions of myself as I went through the Ethiopian pictures:
    How do they know what is safe to eat?
    How do they know where it is OK to hike?
    How do they know who to trust?
    Your “Ambush” story, complete with pictures, answered the question – You don’t always know! Wow!

    It was sort of a shock to see the stunning beauty and the diverse and dense animal and plant life.

    For me, Rwanda was associated exclusively in my mind with all of the horrible governments and conflicts that happened there in the past.
