After weeks of arctic cold, an icicle wall along this balcony nearly
hid our sunset view.

The sun came out on Sunday and temperatures topped the freezing mark,
so Amanda and I set out to discover Ludlowville Falls in the town of
Lansing,
NY.

Not content with the view from above, we scrambled down a snowy path
into the gorge.

Amanda stands before frozen and flowing water.

Nature left us an open path to venture behind the frozen falls.

There we found a snowy cavern, complete with icy stalactites from a
flat rock ceiling.

Looking out through the falling water.

Still behind the falls, Amanda helps you see how tall the place is.

Amanda with ice chunk angel wings. Falling water to her left,
frozen water to her right.

Peeking out through a gap in the ice.

Amanda hoping that thing isn't about to fall.

My turn to look up through the icicles at the edge of the overhang.

I climbed onto this snowpile for a closeup of the flowing water as
it crashed through a gap in the snow.

This reluctant duck knew it was supposed to swim, but seemed to find
the water a bit chilly.
