Hiking in Lassen Volcanic National Park

After reaching the park, we stopped for a picnic lunch at this pretty lake.

A day hike brought us to "Bumpass Hell" - an active thermal area.

A flower-filled hillside drainage spills down toward a lake.

We backpacked into the twin lakes area, then took a day hike to this cinder cone.

And of course we climbed it.  Here's Amanda with colorful sands and an active forest fire beyond.

Walking back to the lakes, we passed a cute little deer family.

Bronzed after a few days of sunny hiking, Amanda stands before reflective Silver Lake.
