To the left of Amanda is our bedroom window, and then the front door of our apartment.

We share the place with a very nice roommate, Jung-Sook, who made us this great Korean dinner.

The wetland behind Amanda is right next to our apartment complex (visible to the right) - full of coots, ducks, egrets, herons, and Canada geese (our noisiest neighbors).

The western part of campus, near our neighborhood, is agricultural, and has a nice olive tree lane running through it.

Biking in the hills west of Davis, we came across some brilliant fields of purple lupin flowers.

These flowers were popular with bees, and also with butterfies.
