Hiking and biking around Angel Island (SF Bay)

We drove to a stop near Tiburon, then biked around the peninsula to the Angel Island ferry.

Our first stop on Angel Island was Perle's Beach. From here you can see SF and the Bay Bridge (with freighter in front).

We sat on some beach wood for a picnic lunch. Here's Amanda with the Golden Gate behind her.

Next we climbed to the top of the island. This is looking northwest toward Tiburon...

This is looking south toward SF and Alcatraz...

This is looking southwest toward the Golden Gate...

And on the way back down, this is looking east over an old garrison toward the hills where we live.

Last
stop was the old immigration station - here Asian immigrants carved
poems in the walls while waiting through their quarantine.
